About Us

O’Donoghue’s History:
Ever wonder why walking into O’Donoghue’s makes you feel like you’ve walked into Dublin? It’s because the entire place came from Dublin. That’s right, EVERYTHING! O’Donoghue’s is arguably the most authentic Irish pub in the US because everything from the ceiling tiles to the barstools were shipped here from Ireland. The O’Donoghue’s story began with a handful of friends who were drinking Guinness in O’Donoghue’s Pub on Merrion Street in Dublin, Ireland. They fell in love with the fun and welcoming atmosphere, and the rest is history!

The Guinness
Since the mid 1700′s beer drinkers have been captivated by a pint of Irish brewed Guinness. Health conscious drinkers believe that Guinness holds the ingredients to a long and healthy life. Recent clamor has been around the alleged fact that Guinness has fewer calories than the leading "lite" beers.

Since the birth of Guinness, pubs world-wide have hosted competitions to determine who could pour the perfect pint of Guinness. In Irish Pubs this is known as a "pint pulling" contest. The "perfect pint" has some basic necessary components. It begins with fresh chilled keg, pushed to the draft handle by a mixture of nitrogen and CO2. A knowledgeable bar tender will never rush the "pulling" of the pint, it must be fashioned in two pours. The first pour fills 75% of the glass, rests for several minutes, and is topped with the second pour – a perfect head that is pushed with a higher concentration of CO2.

At O’Donoghue’s we pride ourselves on the perfect pint, and are host to a nitrogen generator that removes nitrogen from the atmosphere and stores it to be mixed in the perfect ratio with oxygen and used to push the Guinness to the awaiting, thirsty aficionado (that’s you!).

O’Donoghue’s has been visited and accredited by the brew master from the Dublin Brewery.

"That first taste of a perfect pint of Guinness is like the angels dancing on your tongue" – Bill Vale, Owner.
